Designated Marksman Rifle Class January 7 2018

The next of the Artifex Academy long range classes, the DMR class introduces shooters to the techniques for effective shooting out to intermediate distances (600 yards) with the opportunity to engage out to further distances. Taught by former military snipers and marksmen, this class will teach you correct positional shooting and allow you to gather essential data on your rifle, scope and ammunition. Included in the syllabus for this day-long class are the following subjects:

  • positional shooting
  • supported and unsupported shooting
  • improvised supports
  • spotter/shooter communication
  • personalized dope/data for rifle/ammo
  • dialing in adjustments to scopes
  • holding-off to achieve fast, accurate engagement

The day starts with a discussion of theory before moving into the fundamentals of long-range shooting.

This is a unique opportunity to realize the full potential of your rifle and shoot out to considerable distance. Places are strictly limited so early booking is encouraged. Please note a $35 range fee is payable in cash on the day.
